Anthony E. Pizzutillo

Tony is a public affairs professional with experience at the federal, state and local levels. Policy development, legislative strategy development, lobbying and coalition building are Tony’s specialties. Over the last twenty years Tony has practically devoted his entire public affairs profession toward representing the real estate industry.

Since entering private practice, Tony has led many initiatives through the legislature effecting land use, economic development, environment and transportation issues in new jersey. He recently led the way in a multiple bill package to encourage contaminated land clean up with the passage of a remediation tax credit program, the re-funding of the Hazardous Discharge Site Remediation Fund (HDSRF) and the revisions to the Brownfields Redevelopment Law.

Equally well-versed in the regulatory arena of state and federal government, Tony has created successful implementation strategies in government by using the regulatory process where legislation may not prove the most effective solution. Tony also manages the planning and implementation of a number of trade political action committees.

Prior to his private practice, Tony’s experience includes several years directing the government affairs program for the New Jersey Builders Association where he participated with other stakeholders in drafting many benchmark land use and development initiatives, including New Jersey’s Fair Housing Act, the State Planning Act, and the Freshwater Wetlands Protection Act. He also directed the Association’s political action committee.

From another perspective, he has successfully sought enactment of several landmark organ donation and transplant initiatives to promote donation in New Jersey and recently saw the enactment of legislation creating the first statewide organ donor registry in conjunction with the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission. Tony's years of experience advancing these policies was instrumental in his becoming a charter board member of the Sharing Network Foundation.

In 2006 Tony was appointed to the Regional Plan Partnership Board of Trustees and now serves on the Executive Committee and Co-Chair of the Development Committee. In addition, Tony serves on the Lawrenceville Main Street Redevelopment Task Force and the Lawrence High School Curriculum Task Force. Over the last twenty years Tony has served in some capacity with the Central Jersey Youth Soccer Association supporting and managing competitive youth soccer around the country.

Tony began his career in planning and redevelopment working as staff for New Brunswick Tomorrow and the Middlesex County Planning Board.

Tony is a graduate of Villanova University and Rutgers University, where he received a master’s degree in public policy from the Eagleton Institute of Politics.
